Excellent, Jay!

Like Mark Twain shared, travel is good for the imagination. I think he said that. Cindy and I are prepping for a volunteer journey to Ukraine, where I anticipate that my imagination will sprint to catch up with the dazzling and somewhat cautious reality. We will be in Lviv, which is the safest area of Ukraine. I see us traveling to neighboring countries, further expanding our knowledge.

Wow, Dean. I'm excited for you both, with some feelings of caution. I see how active and committed you've become to the Ukrainian cause, an absolutely vital one. When my father was making his long way from Ukraine to the U.S., he and his sister lived for a short time with his uncle and aunt in Lviv. They did not survive WWII. Keep everyone posted as you can. Educate us. And stay safe, my friend.

Thank you, Jay.

When the Lviv British School offered me a job our spring travel plans changed. Since the school offers an opportunity to travel with accommodations, we quickly pivoted. Met with our realtor yesterday. Bye downtown Portland, hello downtown Lviv. I will continue to post.

Best,

Dean

...that your family is from Ukraine and that you have a personal connection to Lviv adds to the cosmic significance of this journey; a nod to the universe.

I've taken to setting these pieces aside for a nice *slow* read with a cup of tea, to really let each fact sink in. Thanks for the wee voyage, A. Jay.

To imagine these brief historical forays read closely over an efflorescent cup of tea by such a reader is to see them sail safely home to port. TY.
