Instructive, isn't it, how a person can be so notoriously celebrated (celebrated as notorious?) -- Al Pacino played him in a movie! -- and then pass from notice.

One has to hold a special appreciation for how teenage boys express their affection and appreciation. I laughed heartily on receipt of the gift in my office and, as you see, display it proudly -- in my closet.

The way that 2020 COVID changed our lives strikes me only partially as the metaphor that holds this eloquently written memoir. I say partially because I infer the Trump oligarchy foreshadowed here. Maybe right, maybe wrong.

One thing for sure, Jay, the writing is "virtually" unputdownable. Kudos, my friend.
