I said Fridays are for essays. But exceptions that prove rules and all that (and I’ve never understood what that means except some double talk that means I’m making an exception). I’m making an exception. A month from this Sunday, August 27, 4:30-6: I’ll be a featured poet at the Village Poets of Sunland & Tujunga, at the Bolton Hall Museum, 10110 Commerce Avenue, Tujunga, CA 91042. Nestled at the base of the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, due north of downtown Los Angeles, it’s a lovely 25-minute drive from there, and the air is little lighter.
