Dear readers, old and new friends on Substack – I seek your help. I started Homo Vitruvius intending to post and email subscribers with a new or significantly revised essay once per week. I explained this in my “Substack project.” Once per week is a general Substack recommendation for writers who don’t at the outset bring to their newsletter large existing and paying subscriber lists already eager for lots of contact and content.
I then posted short, special offerings midweek a couple of times, in order to establish more of a relationship with you all early on – and that then led to more regular midweek posts. In contrast to the Friday essays, Wednesday posts, like the Megallanic Diaries and the more recent The Close Read, offered more expository and analytical essays. Response to these has been good and that’s been gratifying.
