Photograph of Earth taken by Voyager 1 on February 14, 1990, from a distance of about 3.7 billion miles

I complete this first draft of a memoir begun on May 30, 2024, written and published as I wrote it here on Substack. If you have been reading all along, thank you. In addition to all else I have published on Homo Vitruvius and America Samizdat since that date, I have written this book, to be revised and published in book form. (I celebrated with a dram of Doorly’s Rum.) If you are a new subscriber, this final installment is self-contained, but also, the entire work can be found below. Longer than the typical weekly posting, “Pale Blue Dot” will remain free, in front of the paywall, for an additional week, two weeks, until I post again. The entire book, and all the archive, is accessible for only $2 per month, with a 7-day free trial.
